300 West 6th Street was awarded LEED Gold (EBOM) certification in 2015. The LEED certification for 300 West 6th Street was a natural progression of our high Energy Star ratings and ongoing sustainability efforts at the property, which include:
- LEED Dynamic Gold Certification
- Energy Star Rated
- Recycling Program
- Paper, Aluminum, and Glass
- In 2015 300 West 6th recycled 575 pounds.
- Composting Program
- In 2015 300 West 6th composted 35 tons.
- E-Recycle Drive
- Small electronics and old computer equipment are collected (Home & Office)
- In 2015 300 West 6th collected nearly 4,500 lbs. of electronics.
B-Cycle
- A B-cycle station is on the premises, at the corner of 6th and Lavaca.
Bike Friendly Building
- There are 24 bike lockers, a bike storage area that can house up to 100 bikes, and surrounding bike racks that can hold up to 50 bicycles.
